Pale Evening-Primrose Onagraceae (Evening-primrose Family) A member of the Evening Primrose family Onagraceae which includes many herbs with showy flowers.
Distinguishing Features - Leaves: simple, linear, alternate or opposite. Flowers: large, white, aging to pink, usually 4 sepals, mostly separate; 4 petals, mostly separate; 4 to 8 stamens; all these parts attached at top of ovary. Fruit: commonly 4-chambered capsule Habitat Common throughout North America's temperate regions; in sandy soil conditions, on dunes and roadsides.
